Firm Profile  Firm as an Institution
As we look back over the firm’s history, we are proud to find ourselves in the heart of Washington, D.C. and at the leading edge of our professional disciplines.

Public Service
As part of our commitment to public service, Miller & Chevalier has pledged to devote three percent of its billable hours to pro bono activities.  For prior pro bono work, our firm has been honored by the Humane Society of the United States, the National Wildlife Federation, the Washington Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs, the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless, and the District of Columbia Bar. The pro bono projects in which our lawyers have participated range from appellate amicus briefs in U.S. Supreme Court cases to counseling in landlord-tenant disputes.  Our lawyers have served in leadership positions in numerous bar and civic organizations.  Miller & Chevalier has also been recognized for its leadership in the American Bar Association’s Central and East European Law Initiative, one of the ABA’s largest pro bono projects.

The Miller & Chevalier Charitable Foundation
Since 1929, the Miller & Chevalier Charitable Foundation has served as a source of financial support to a wide variety of health and welfare, educational, law-related, and other charitable organizations.  It is one of the oldest law firm foundations in the United States.
